Plots flooding to combat soil salinity

Combat soil salinity with an ancestral technique: plots flooding. This method used by winegrowers on the Coteaux de Beziers IGP consists in drawing water from the nearby canal to flood the vines. The salt present in the soils will go down and be carried away through the drains. Christophe Combarnous, one of our winegrowers at Villeneuve-lès-Béziers uses this technique to clean the soils up and encourage biodiversity.
